About Us

My dream was to travel to Europe prior to starting a family. My husband made it possible and he arranged our dream trip to Paris, Germany, Prague, Venice, Florence & Switzerland in April 2002. We never expected to get pregnant right away but as fate would have it, we conceived in Italy. Nine months later, January 19th, 2003, we were blessed with a baby girl that we named Bella Ellysse. Bella means beautiful in Italian, so her name is very significant to us.

Who would've thought that a little 8lb.6oz. baby girl was going to be spitting up so much? I received a beautiful piece of fabric from my cousin Gina along with her baby shower gift. She told me that she wasn't sure what she was going to do with the fabric, "maybe a burp cloth or something". One day I looked at that fabric and decided to sew it directly to one side of a cloth diaper to make it look pretty. It was perfect for our very first wedding to attend as a family.

I know how special I feel being dressed and made up....so why not create the same feelings for those moms on their special outings? We do carry them with us wherever we go, right?

I have created Bella Burpies to change those dirty, stained cloth diapers into something that you will love having with you and your little treasure. I hope that you enjoy them as much as my little Bella and I have.
